YIKES...Been awhile!

Where do I even start...yikes...part of me really hopes there is just one or two people out there that may check on my blog that are not on facebook??  maybe??  I hope everyone has not been coming here looking for new stuff thinking "geesh is this lady even taking pictures anymore??"  Because seriously it has been quite the opposite!!  My weeks turn to weekends in the blink of an eye and a new Monday is here even quicker than that!  I have been working my tail off at w-o-r-k, which I am loving right now(yeah!! this is good!!), I am trying to limit my weekday shoots to 2(which is usually ends up at 3 against the dismay of my husband) and trying(really hard) to keep my weekends for this guy...

What I'm Thankful for...

A husband who enjoys the outdoors and knows just how to hunt and a son who I know one day will be right along with him!! I love them both, the handsome hunter and cute little camo clad sidekick, not the dead deer!

FIRST DEAL!!

ok so I am not going to make this the weekly, "Biggest Sale of the Year" event but I just want to practice what I learned this weekend attending a 2 day photogs workshop down in INDY. SO if anyone knows of anyone pregnant and due right now or possibly you, yourself are about to POP!?!? ;) I want to get my hands on that baby! $50.00 will get that new mom, their newborn's first photo shoot!! My newborn session are normally $150 for the session and CD. With this session you will get 1-3 hours with me, a CD with 10-15 photos from our time together and a GREAT DEAL!! The baby must be 5-10 days old and we must get these in before the end of October and if you choose to purchase the First Year package I will deduct the first paid session from your total! These will be taken at my home and at a time agreed upon between the mom and I.
If you, or your friend are not due until after October, but you would like to book now to take advantage of this offer I will take $50.00 off the first session or the first year(still a way good deal)!
And think about what a great gift this would be...but you have to be first..so don't wait!! do I sound like a macys' ad yet??

GAGE - 9 months

I can not believe my baby is 9 months old! He is just getting so big. He is crawling everywhere, saying Dada, Mama, Ga, what sounds like 'Duck', and NaNa. Waves bye bye, and claps(sometimes). He is eating 1-2 jars of baby food at each meal and has been sleeping through the night for a whole month now!! The best part about him has been his budding curiosity of everything! People around us tonight at dinner said "he is just so social", we think he's just be nosey! ;)
(and for all my mama's out there, right after the shot above Gage took a face first plant into the concrete step below, SO as I promise it unfortunately seems to happen at EVERY shoot!)and also to prove that I have to work just as hard for my own son's smiles here is a shot similar to that of many I had captured that afternoon! The blank, "I'm not giving you a smile no matter how much dancing around you do or puffs you feed me!" stare! :)

GAGE - Sneak Peek

For all you non-facebookers, a little sneak peek of yesterday's photo shoot! We started his birthday morning at breakfast, met Grandma Po at the the zoo and had lunch with the Todds, I'd say pretty great being 9 months old!! Happy Birthday GAGE!
and yes if you have to know...he was screaming in this shot! ;)
Sorry buddy but one thing(of many) you got from your dada was his butt, or rather lack there of!

GAGE - 8 Months

Ok for all your stalkers(family) out there here's your update. This month Gage has started "scooting" forward. We won't quite call it crawling but regardless of what "it" is it is making me sad! "Dada" is old news now, he says "Mama", all the time and his newest word is "Ga" which I am assuming that he's saying "Gage", Right?? :) He is eating a whole jar of #2 baby foods 4 times a day with a 5-6 oz bottle about 6 times. He is SLEEPING through the night, alleluia, going down at 8:00 pm and sleeps most mornings until 7:00 am!! He had his first ear infection 2 weeks ago and took it like a champ! He seriously is amazing, this kid makes me so happy, and I cannot stop thinking how lucky I am to be his mom!

GAGE - 6 months

This kid is sunshine to so many people; he just lights up a room with his smile. I can only hope he continues to smile like this at my camera.
so I know my son is going to HATE me someday for taking these, let alone posting them here, but I just had too. I think 'naked baby' is the epitome of B-A-B-Y, and helps me remember every roll and freckle!
This is proof that my kid does have a serious side and is not always smiling for my camera. This was towards the end of the shoot when I think he had, had enough!
But then he found his feet...I love this shot!

GAGE - Sneak Peek

Just one for tonight. I have been fighting a headache all day...good thing we had a snow day huh?? it was so much fun hanging out today with this handsome stud and Jason!

How we go from this...to this...In three short years is beyond me?!!? It seems like just yesterday we were meeting at Purdue! One thing I do understand is how you can continue to fall more in love with someone everyday. Jason, if you happen to read this blog, I LOVE YOU!

Ok so I am going to try something a little new to the blog...well, one, because I need some lovin' right now and two, the comments have been slacking so it has lead to this...Bribery!! UPGRADE, Check!!

I did it!! This has been a long time coming...for me anyways! I have been saying for months I was going to upgrade and more importantly back up my current D80. Well I ordered it, last night! I can not wait for this beast to arrive...a little faster and a higher ISO, but basically my camera body can now hold it's own against my lenses! To my shoots next weekend, watch out, a true professional is on her way!
